Investing in a Sustainable Future
Inland is committed to providing our customers a consistent supply of fresh, healthy food from a supply chain that is transparent, traceable, sourced from well-managed fisheries and farms, and is responsibly produced and harvested.
Sustainable Practices
We understand the importance of preserving the environment that feeds us. As such, we are dedicated to putting our resources back into that environment to ensure a more robust, resilient supply chain for generations to come.
Inland is focused on innovative internal practices that minimize our environmental impact. Our logistics team ensures that our fleet of trucks are running efficient routes, and we utilize eco-friendly packaging wherever possible. We are continually evaluating our operation to create efficiencies around water use, electricity, and food waste.
Inland buys local and supports small, independent fishermen and farmers whenever possible to help reduce our carbon footprint. We work closely with our suppliers to ensure that our products are harvested using environmentally responsible methods and prioritize those who raise their animals in humane, healthy environments.
Third-Party Certifications
Sustainability has many definitions. To make sure that we meet them all, we and our suppliers collaborate with credible ranking programs like Marine Stewardship Council (MSC), Alaska’s Responsible Fisheries Management (RFM) program, Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) and Trace Register, to name a few.

We also support organizations like the University of Georgia's Georgia Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant.

Inland Seafood is also a member of the Southeastern Fisheries Association (SFA) and FMI, The Food Industry Association.

Inland is a standing member of Sea Pact, which is a group of 12 like-minded progressive seafood companies, that allows us to leverage the power of pre-competitive collaboration to drive stewardship of social, economic and environmental responsibility throughout the supply chain.
